The material 1050A is an aluminum alloy of the 1000 series. It is considered commercially pure and is formulated for primary forming into wrought products. In European standards, it is referred to as EN AW-1050A, and in international standards as 3.0255.
This alloy is characterized by its high electrical conductivity, good corrosion resistance, as well as good formability and weldability. Due to its properties, it is particularly suitable for:
- Automotive cladding
- Equipment in the chemical and food industry
- Light reflectors
- Strips for heat exchangers
- Sports equipment, decoration, apparatus engineering

- Relatively soft
- Very well cold-formable
- Good weldability
- Good corrosion resistance

- Moderate seawater resistance
